We don’t just host content; we curate experiences. We are looking for a strategic, data-driven, and creatively-minded Digital Curation Lead to lead our curation efforts across our VoD estate, including our streaming service U, Pay TV platforms, and FAST channels.
In this role, you won’t just manage rails—you’ll drive habitual usage, champion innovative presentation, and lead a high-performing team of Digital Curation Execs.
Responsibilities- Strategy & Implementation: Devise and execute content curation strategies that increase viewing, engage users, and drive habitual usage across the VoD estate.
- Team Leadership: Lead, support, and develop a team of Digital Curation Execs, empowering them to contribute to both tactical wins and long-term planning.
- Innovative Curation: Champion new approaches to content discovery, utilising audience segmentation and user behaviour data to keep our offering "best-in-class."
- Experimental Mindset: Work with the Image Team to execute multi-variant tests, tailoring content and improving personalisation for our users.
- Partnership Management: Manage editorial relationships with third-party platforms and TV partners (FTA, Pay, and FAST), ensuring our content thrives wherever it lives.
- FAST Oversight: Oversee the scheduling and curation of our FAST channels, working cross-functionally to roll out channels on new platforms.
- Considerable experience in editorial merchandising or curation within a streaming/VoD or media environment.
- A proven track record of leading and managing teams.
- Experience using performance data and content discovery patterns to shape editorial plans.
- Familiarity with Agile working and managing third-party platform relationships.
- Deep understanding of VoD platforms, release patterns, and complex rights windows.
- A pulse on the UK media landscape and VoD competitor trends.
- Knowledge of UKTV’s brands and the unique audiences we serve.
- Think Differently: An ability to move between conceptual thinking and driving practical ideas forward.
