Role Overview:
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth, identify new market opportunities, and strengthen partnerships in the solar PV industry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, purpose-led company making a difference in renewable energy. You must be based in the UK and have proven B2B sales experience. Full and clean drivers license required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the UK and globally
- Build and manage relationships with distributors, installers, and key clients
- Drive sales of UKSOL solar modules and associated products
- Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
- Represent UKSOL at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals
- Collaborate with the marketing team on lead generation and brand promotion
- Report regularly on sales pipeline, targets, and market feedback
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record in business development or sales (solar or renewable energy sector preferred)
- Ethical approach selling. Ability to build strong long term partnerships built on trust.
- Strong understanding of the solar PV industry and B2B sales channels
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong organisational and project management abilities
- Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally
