We’re hiring: Short-Form Video Growth Lead / Football Content Creator. Mystery Shirt Club is a new football ecommerce brand from the team behind UKSoccershop. We’re using the stock, fulfilment, personalisation and football retail infrastructure of UKSoccershop to build the UK’s dominant mystery football shirt and merchandise brand.
This is not a traditional social media manager role. We don’t need someone to simply schedule posts and write captions. We need someone who can help build a high-velocity content engine that turns attention into trust, community and revenue.
The role involves:
- Short-form video growth across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Daily Stories
- Creator/UGC content
- Paid ad creative testing
We want to build towards a high-output schedule of 15–20+ assets per week, testing different formats quickly and doubling down on what works. Content will include:
- Mystery football shirt unboxings
- Street interviews and fan challenges
- Football kit reactions
- World Cup 2026 content
- Obscure kit trivia and football culture
- Behind-the-scenes warehouse footage
- Personalisation and shirt-printing content
- Creator and influencer collaborations
- UGC-style paid ad concepts
- Promos that feel native to social, not like traditional adverts
The edge: Mystery Shirt Club is not just another mystery box brand. Our advantage is that we can offer official mystery football shirts with personalisation at scale. Customers can receive a surprise shirt and add their own name, favourite player, cult hero or legend on the back. We also have access to a much deeper football merchandise range through UKSoccershop, including shirts, shorts, socks, jackets, training wear, kids’ products and current-season kits. That gives us more content angles than a normal mystery box business.
AI and creative testing: We want someone who is excited by the modern content stack. That means using tools like AI scripting, AI UGC tools, Arcads, Creatify and editing workflows to rapidly test hooks, formats and creative angles. AI will not replace real football personality, real shirts, real warehouse footage or real fan reactions. But it should help us move faster, test more ideas and turn winning concepts into paid ads.
You should understand:
- The importance of the first 2 seconds
- Hook testing
- Retention
- Watch time
- Saves, shares and comments
- UGC-style creative
- Creator-led paid ads
- How organic winners can become paid ads
Your Skills:
- You are comfortable on camera.
- You can do street interviews, fan challenges, kit reactions, football debates and World Cup content.
- You understand how to stop the scroll and make football fans comment.
The ideal person will:
- Understand football culture deeply
- Know what works on TikTok, Reels and Shorts
- Be comfortable creating, directing or editing short-form video
- Move quickly and test ideas without overthinking
- Understand the science of the hook
- Be commercially minded, not just creative
- Be comfortable using AI tools to scale content output
- Know how to make content that builds trust and sells without feeling like an ad
- Be excited by the idea of helping build a brand from day one
This probably is not the right role if you are mainly a social media scheduler, caption writer or community manager. We need someone who makes content, tests ideas and drives growth.
Location: We are based in Scotland, but we are open-minded. Content can be created remotely, on the street, at matches, or around football culture more broadly. For the right person, we can shape the role around talent rather than forcing a rigid setup.
To apply, send:
- Links to TikToks, Reels, Shorts or accounts you have created or grown
- A short note on which lane fits you best: The Face, The Orchestrator, or both
- One idea for a trust-building warehouse video
- One idea for a World Cup 2026 video using our personalisation advantage
- One example of a football/social content format you think MSC should test
Video evidence matters more than a polished CV. Email or DM me directly on LinkedIn. Please share with anyone who might be a strong fit.
