The Role

CYBERSIGNS is looking for an experienced, hands-on Signage Production Manager to join our growing sign and graphics business in Northampton.

This is not a desk-based management position.

We are looking for an experienced sign-industry professional who can take ownership of jobs, work independently and help manage the day-to-day production operation while remaining very much hands‑on.

The right person will be comfortable taking a job from approved artwork through production, manufacture and ultimately installation, solving problems along the way without requiring constant supervision.

For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to become a key member of the business and take genuine responsibility for the production side of CYBERSIGNS.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be involved across our complete sign and graphics operation, including:

• Planning and organising day‑to‑day production and workflow
• Sign manufacture and assembly
• Large‑format digital print production
• Operating printers, laminators and vinyl plotters
• Vinyl preparation and application
• Vehicle graphics and vinyl installation
• Vehicle wrapping experience would be a strong advantage
• Window graphics and manifestation
• Fascias, trays, panels, built‑up lettering and general signage
• Preparing and checking artwork for production
• Working from Adobe Illustrator/CorelDRAW or similar industry software
• Preparing jobs and materials for installation
• On‑site sign and graphics installation
• Surveying and helping determine the best method of manufacture and installation
• Quality control throughout production
• Organising and supporting junior members of the production team
• Taking responsibility for jobs and ensuring deadlines are achieved
• Liaising with management, installers and clients where required

Who we’re looking for

We are specifically looking for somebody who already has substantial experience within the sign and graphics industry.

You may currently be working as a:

Senior Sign Maker / Sign Fitter / Graphics Installer / Vehicle Wrapper / Sign Production Manager / Studio Manager / Signage All‑Rounder

We’re less interested in your current job title than what you can actually do.

Ideally, you’ll have strong experience across several of the following:

• Sign manufacture
• Large‑format print
• Laminating
• Vinyl application
• Vehicle graphics
• Vehicle wrapping
• Sign installation
• Artwork/pre‑press
• Production management
• Team supervision

A full UK driving licence is required.

IPAF/PASMA and other relevant installation qualifications would be advantageous, although not essential for the right candidate.

We’re looking for somebody who can take ownership.

Someone who can be given a job, understand what needs doing, organise the production, identify potential problems, work with the team and get the finished product out of the door and installed correctly.

We’re a busy, growing independent business, so you’ll need to be practical, organised and willing to get involved.

Salary & package

£32,000–£40,000 per annum basic salary
+ overtime

The salary offered will depend upon your experience, skill set and the level of responsibility you’re capable of taking within the business.

For an exceptional all‑round candidate who can genuinely take responsibility for the production operation, we’re prepared to pay towards the top of the range.
