Position: Projects Manager – Electrical & Controls Systems We are seeking a proactive and experienced Projects Manager with a background in electrical and control systems to join our team. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of controls projects—from initiation through to completion—ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Commercial awareness is essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities * Plan, manage, and deliver control systems projects, including defining scope, budget, schedule, and resource requirements * Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations * Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation and contingency strategies * Lead cross-functional project teams, including engineers, technicians, contractors, and suppliers * Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, engineering, manufacturing, and service to ensure project success * Ensure compliance with relevant safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including machine safety * Apply commercial principles to project planning and execution * Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management and customers * Prepare and present project documentation, including financial reports, progress updates, and post-project reviews * Support the sales team in preparing quotations and tenders based on RFQs or Statements of Requirements (SORs) Requirements * HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field * Minimum 2 years’ experience in project management within the controls, manufacturing, or industrial sectors * Solid understanding of electrical and control systems, including PLC programming, HMI development, and electrical design * Proven ability to manage complex projects involving planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination * Strong leadership and team management skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels * Familiarity with HSE, ISO, and other relevant safety and quality standards * Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Microsoft Planner * Competent in Office 365 applications * Strong written and spoken English * Understanding of machine safety standards and regulations * Demonstrated com * Full UK driving licence
