We’re seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer (or known as Fitter) with proven experience in mechanical installation, maintenance, and refurbishment within the water or heavy industrial sector. You will install, maintain, repair, and refurbish mechanical plant and equipment, ensuring all work meets WIMES standards, client specifications, and health and safety regulations. Flexibility is required to travel to various project sites and a willingness to undertake overnight stays when required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Health, safety, and environmental best practice.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Competence with hand tools, power tools, and pipework equipment.
- Mechanical installation, maintenance, and refurbishment in water/heavy industry.
- Pipework installation across ductile iron, stainless steel, carbon steel, UPVC, ABS.
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence.
Please note that we drug and alcohol test all new starters as part of their induction.
