Our maritime pathway provides early inspiration taster programmes for school children, career training for those looking to secure their first role and continued professional development for seafarers wanting to progress their career.

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Head of Maritime to join UKSA. This is a newly created, high impact leadership role designed to support UKSA’s strategic direction and future growth. The Head of Maritime Training will play a pivotal part in delivering our organisational ambitions, working in close partnership with the COO and other senior leaders.

The postholder will drive innovation, collaboration, and excellence across all maritime training departments, ensuring UKSA remains at the forefront of maritime education and training. With a strong focus on developing new initiatives, supporting cross departmental alignment, and bringing new developments online, this role will help shape UKSA’s evolution as a blended learning organisation and a leader in student outcomes and industry engagement.

The Head of Maritime Training will provide strategic, operational, and educational leadership across all UKSA maritime training departments. This high-level role is responsible for driving excellence in course development, delivery quality, student outcomes, and external engagement while ensuring alignment with UKSA’s long term strategy and growth ambitions.

The postholder will lead a multi-disciplinary team, support the COO, and work collaboratively with other Heads of Department to ensure an integrated, future-focused approach to maritime education and training.
