At Ofgem, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference for energy consumers while helping to shape the UK’s journey to Net Zero. This is an exciting leadership role within our Compliance & Enforcement Profession, offering the chance to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering high-profile work that protects consumers, ensures industry compliance and supports the delivery of vital government energy schemes. We welcome applications from candidates with a wide range of professional backgrounds. Whether your experience comes from financial management, audit, compliance, risk, regulation, operational delivery, policy, strategy, performance improvement or broader analytical roles, we are looking for people who can interpret complex information, make sound judgements, lead others and drive positive outcomes.
You will oversee the delivery of important regulatory and compliance activities, manage competing priorities, and work collaboratively across Ofgem to deliver high-quality outcomes. Depending on your deployment, you may support the delivery of renewable energy and social programmes worth over £12 billion annually, oversee compliance with scheme requirements, lead investigations into potential breaches, or help ensure consumers receive the protections and support they are entitled to. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing leadership, solving complex problems and ensuring risks are effectively managed.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining analysis, stakeholder engagement, project management and people leadership. You will lead and develop inclusive, high-performing teams, support professional development, and contribute specialist expertise across a variety of projects. If you are motivated by delivering positive change, have strong analytical and leadership skills, and are passionate about protecting consumers and supporting the transition to a sustainable energy future, this role offers a unique opportunity to build a rewarding career while making a lasting impact on society.
