As we continue our transformation journey, we are now seeking experienced, self-motivated finance managers or SMEs to fill a number of operational management roles which focus on team management and performance delivery. The roles are pivotal to achieving and driving successful service delivery and achieving SLAs and delivery targets. You will lead, motivate, and support a large team delivering a variety of complex workstreams.
Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide effective management to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our clients and end users with responsibility for the achievement of SLAs, KPIs and other service delivery targets to deliver a consistently high-quality output.
- Enable, support, influence and motivate a large team to deliver consistently high levels of performance and continuous improvement.
- Effectively manage direct reports and influence the management of team members (People Manager) or act as an SME in your functional area.
- Be responsible, and take ownership for, complex query resolution and the escalation processes within your team, providing advice and support where needed and acting as a subject matter expert point.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders, senior leaders and colleagues to share knowledge and best practice and develop solutions to improve service delivery.
- Use service knowledge, skills and experience to review ways of working, identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to ensure our service delivery is fit for the future.
- Ad hoc project work, working as a SME to support changes within the finance service.
- Key contact for audit queries and support for audit fieldwork.
- Carry out training and take responsibility for writing and updating desk notes within own area of expertise.
- Work to continuously improve processes and create efficiencies.
- Checking and approval of online banking and BACS payments.
To do this role well you will need:
- A proven track record of working within a Finance role eg. Accounts payable, payments, expenses or similar.
- Demonstrable experience of pro-actively managing a performance driven team.
- Ability to develop measurable goals and objectives for the team.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
- Extensive SME knowledge in one of the required areas.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, Workday, Oracle etc.
- Ability to analyse, interpret and present data and Management Information.
- Proactive problem solving and solutions focused with the ability to identify barriers and potential risks to service delivery and develop and implement effective solutions.
- A passion for driving continuous improvements.
- Focussed and driven to achieve success with the ability to confidently lead and motivate others.
- Ability to face challenges proactively and be comfortable and confident dealing with a diverse range of customers at all levels.
