We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Committee and Governance Officer to join our Executive Support team. Working within Corporate Delivery, you’ll provide high-level secretariat support to Executive and cross-directorate committees, ensuring meetings run smoothly and collaboration thrives. This role also offers the chance to review current processes and implement improvements, giving you the freedom to shape efficient ways of working.
The duties of this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide high-level secretariat support for Executive and senior committees, including forward planning, agenda preparation, and timely distribution of meeting papers.
- Record and circulate accurate minutes on complex, multi-topic discussions, highlighting decisions and actions that impact other areas to ensure joined-up working.
- Providing comprehensive administrative and secretariat support to Trade Union meetings and engagements, ensuring these are managed professionally, confidentially and with integrity.
- Review and refine processes to simplify ways of working while maintaining robust, transparent governance.
- Work closely with the Chief of Staff and Company Secretary to align governance and drive continuous improvement across the business.
- Remain flexible to undertake similar duties as required to meet business needs.
To do this role well, you will need to have the following attributes:
- Proven track record of servicing Executive-level committees.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Strong organisational skills; able to prioritise, work independently and collaboratively.
- Confident communicator with ability to build relationships at all levels, including Executive leadership.
- High attention to detail and forward-thinking approach to identify impacts across committees.
- Knowledge of corporate governance and committee services.
