About the Role

The RAL Space Product Assurance Group is looking to appoint a Senior Product Assurance Specialist. You will be responsible for all Product Assurance requirements on their assigned project(s). This may include managing subsystem(s) and their suppliers or piece part suppliers. You will be responsible for ensuring that the required activities are followed to provide appropriate control and records of materials and processes, dependability, safety, EEE components, and quality assurance measures. The PA Manager is the formal point of contact with the end customers (national and international space agencies) and suppliers on all Product Assurance matters of the subsystem/sub-suppliers.

Shortlisting Criteria

  • Experience as a Space Product Assurance Manager (highly desirable for experience in managing external PA Managers)
  • A strong record of professional development
  • Understanding of the many key physical and engineering challenges of building equipment to operate in space
  • Excellent written & oral communication
  • Evidence of effective time management and prioritisation
  • Evidence of thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Be willing and able to travel to Europe
  • Evidence of working effectively as part of a broad multi-disciplinary (including Product Assurance) team
