St. George Capital (SGC) is a student‑run, not‑for‑profit investment organization at the University of Toronto. We bridge quantitative and traditional finance by training students through hands‑on projects, real‑world competitions, and professional exposure. Beyond investing, our Charity Fund channels returns into supporting community initiatives, meaning your work contributes to both financial learning and social impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Support quant trading and research projects, including backtesting strategies and developing models.
  • Analyze macro trends and assess their implications for markets and our fund.
  • Contribute to equity research and factor‑based analysis, publishing results for competitions and events.
  • Present findings at flagship SGC events like the Factor Research Competition and professional panels.
  • Help grow the Charity Fund, linking financial analysis with social responsibility.

Who You Are

  • An undergraduate student (1st–5th year) with interest in finance, markets, and research.
  • Background in engineering, commerce, economics, or finance.
  • Comfortable with data‑driven problem solving (Python/R experience an asset).
  • Motivated to combine career development with social impact.
