KBR Leatherhead is looking for a hands-on, highly motivated, dynamic and strategic-thinking Corporate Manager of Engineering. Reporting to the Director of Engineering and supporting the Project Delivery Manager and Project Directors, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of engineering excellence, high performance and team capability across engineering technical disciplines
Function
- Coordinates with technical Department Managers to integrate department activities with those of other departments inside Engineering to meet company goals.
- Manages levels of personnel, levels of skills, and development of skills in Engineering.
- Manages levels of physical resources to meet engineering needs in engineering disciplines.
- Manages continued improvement and application of technology, work methods, and procedures for Engineering.
- Manages the resolution of Work Process Improvement Recommendations for preventive action in his/her assigned area.

Role Responsibilities
- Engineering team leadership and mentorship
- Functional management of engineering discipline managers and area project engineers
- Manage and plan engineering resource utilization, staffing levels and recruitment
- Drive the development and maintenance of a competency database
- Manage and monitor technical reviews on project for successful delivery.
- Coordinate with KBR Global engineering centres where required
- Attend project technical design, risk and safety reviews
- Engineering quality processes, including checking and approval requirements
Candidate should have experience in engineering team management of small and large project portfolios, performance management, knowledge of project controls with commercial awareness and be capable of undertaking and supporting project delivery for Leatherhead.
