Job Mission
We are looking for a HR Assistant to provide efficient and professional HR support for both Head Office and Retail associates across the UK and Ireland. You will provide exceptional support to the New Balance Associates across both our Retail and Head Office teams, offering administrative support to the HR Operations. A large part of this role involves accurately maintaining data on our HR system (Workday).The ideally candidate will be highly organised, able to work at pace and manage deadlines successfully.
This role is based 3 days a week from our EMEA Head Office in Warrington, UK. We offer hybrid working and flexibility to working hours to accommodate a healthy work-life balance.
Major Accountabilities
- Provide Administrative support for all HR topics which include – creating new contracts, updating new starter forms, conducting background reference checks, right to work checks and emergency contact information.
- Provide support during the whole employee lifecycle including changes and employee offboarding
- Maintain HR System (Workday). Keep Associate files 100% accurate, run HR reports using Workday as needed including ad hoc checks to ensure data accuracy.rovide support with payroll processing via external companies
- Provide support to Store Managers with recruitment activities- advertise vacancies, collation of applications and arranging interviews when required
- Accurately update all trackers
- Archive personnel and recruitment files in line with GDPR legislation
- Assess sickness and absence trends- ensure they are recorded correctly by each Store
- Provide advice on local employment laws, keeping up to date with any changes
- Provide administrative support to the wider EMEA HR Team, escalating queries and working collaboratively
- Support with relevant projects
Requirements For Success
- Educated to Degree Level – preferably HR related
- Previous HR Experience in a similar role would be advantageous
- Good understanding of UK and Irish Law
- Strong interest in HR operations
- Results driven – follows through to conclusion on all projects/commitments to agreed deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
- Able to use initiative and work independently and take ownership of your work
- Work with confidential information
- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Continuous Improvement mindset
- Previous experience using HR Systems would be preferred Proficient in
- Excellent know of full Microsoft Office package
- Team Player – remain open, professional and friendly to all associate
