The Role

As a Stores Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Property team by managing deliveries, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring items are transported safely and efficiently across various locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, check, and sign for deliveries against dispatch notes
  • Load and unload vehicles with furniture, materials, and equipment
  • Ensure all items are protected during transit and storage
  • Deliver furniture and building materials across multiple properties
  • Build and dismantle furniture as required
  • Maintain accurate stock lists and support inventory management
  • Keep the vehicle clean, organised, and regularly checked
  • Complete and submit all relevant paperwork daily
  • Provide cover for colleagues when required
  • Follow all company policies, with a strong focus on health and safety
  • Participate in shift patterns and on-call rota when required
  • Carry out any additional duties within the scope of the role

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a similar stores, warehouse, or logistics role
  • Experience in handling, building, or dismantling furniture
  • Manual handling training (desirable)
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A full, clean UK driving licence
  • Knowledge of routes across Surrey, London, and surrounding areas (desirable)
