Dog Walker (Casual) in Chertsey

Key Responsibilities :

• Dog Walking : Safely walk dogs, ensuring they get the exercise and playtime needed.
• Pet Care : Provide fresh water, treats (if approved by pet owners), and maintain a safe environment for each dog.
• Basic Commands : Reinforce basic commands (e.g., sit, stay, heel) as directed by pet owners to promote good behaviour.
• Observation : Monitor the dog\’s health and behaviour, reporting any concerns (such as changes in behaviour, appetite, or injuries) to the pet owner.
• Customer Communication : Maintain clear and professional communication with pet owners, providing updates as needed.
• Safety Protocols : Use secure leashes / harnesses, avoid encounters with unknown animals, and ensure dogs are always safe.
• Scheduling Flexibility : Adapt to the dog\’s schedule, weather conditions, and last-minute client needs.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations while performing all duties.
• Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.

Knowledge and Skills :

• Experience with Dogs (Essential).
• Qualification in Dog Care (Desirable).
• Clean Driving Licence (Essential).
• Confidence with Sharp Dogs (Essential).
