Reporting into: Head of Finance

Location: UK (Remote)

We’re a dynamic team focused on efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Remote Bookkeeper to support our day-to-day financial processes on a part-time basis.

The Role: This is a fully remote, part-time role (16 hours per week). You’ll be responsible for core bookkeeping tasks, ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date, while working independently with light oversight.

  • Processing supplier invoices and managing the purchase ledger.
  • Raising sales invoices and supporting basic credit control (following up overdue payments).
  • Performing regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records within the accounting system (e.g., Xero).
  • Assisting with weekly payment runs.
  • Preparing information for external auditors where required.
  • Identifying simple improvements to processes where possible.
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks to support the Head of Finance.

Required Experience:

  • Experience in a bookkeeping or finance assistant role.
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload in a remote setting.
  • Good organisational skills and reliability.

About You:

  • Experience in e-commerce or high-volume transactions.
  • Exposure to EU VAT or different VAT treatments.
  • Exposure to multi-currency transactions and FX.
  • A fast learner with great problem-solving skills and an analytical approach.
  • Tech-savvy and skilled user of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
  • An A+ attitude mindset.
  • An ambitious self-starter with the ability to work operationally and independently and as part of a team.
