Medtronic is searching for a highly motivated Capital Equipment Business Developer to promote the Medtronic Hugo™ Robotic‑Assisted Surgery System to a select list of existing hospital clients across EMEA. The role requires strong engagement with surgical teams, C‑suite executives, and budget holders to support complex sales cycles and demonstrate the value of the Hugo® system.

Responsibilities

  • Travel frequently to meet with clients and colleagues, often working from home or various Medtronic offices across EMEA.
  • Engage with surgical teams to assess opportunities for expanding robotic‑assisted surgery.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams in leading hospitals to enhance clinical strategy using the Hugo® system.
  • Convince surgical teams of the benefits offered by the Hugo® system, including improved outcomes, faster recovery, advanced techniques, 3D high‑resolution imaging, digital solutions, ease of use, OR efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness.
  • Engage and convince budget holders and executives in leading hospitals by jointly developing business cases, total cost of ownership (TCO) comparisons, and cost‑per‑procedure analyses to support informed decisions regarding the purchase and use of the Hugo® system.
  • Act as a positive and successful collaborator within a matrix organization, managing relationships and delivering outcomes in a multi‑stakeholder environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong appetite for learning and development, with an interest in technological advancements in healthcare.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience leading negotiations and selling complex medical devices or capital equipment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong ethical standards: play by the rules, do not cut corners, and respect company policies.
  • Active networks in the field of surgery and operating theatres; regularly connected with surgeons.
  • Knowledge of the operating theatre and minimally invasive surgery.

Travel & Physical Requirements

  • 70%+ of the time in the field; physically able to perform tasks required for sales visits.
