As a confident and inspiring expert in your field, you will work collaboratively with the wider UKED and marketing teams to optimise site functionality and performance, contributing to increased user engagement and enhanced search visibility for our websites.

About UKExpertDigital: You will be joining a skilled marketing team specialising in delivering online and offline marketing campaigns for its clients within the legal and medical industries supporting solicitors, charities and support groups. We pride ourselves in delivering the highest standards across all of our services to ensure the best results for our clients with a continuous improvement model at the heart of everything we deliver. We ensure our teams have clear progression paths and direct access to industry experts for development.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead spokesperson for web design & development, ensuring best practice standards are upheld across all brand and client websites.
  • Create visual design concepts and high-quality wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure visually engaging, fully responsive website layouts before the development stage.
  • Develop and deliver live sites in line with stakeholder and client requirements ensuring testing is at the highest standard.
  • Ensure website content is quickly and easily accessible.
  • Enhance user experience and oversee ongoing technical website maintenance for UKExpertDigital clients.
  • Configure and customise WordPress themes across client sites and support ongoing CMS updates.
  • Produce detailed weekly reports outlining progress, insights, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Continuously provide recommendations to improve UX and CRO across multiple represented brands.
  • Apply and maintain SEO best practices throughout all web development activities.
  • Communicate clearly with the marketing team and clients to interpret briefs, manage expectations, and set realistic deadlines.
  • Prioritise and schedule content and development requests to ensure timely delivery and adherence to internal deadlines.
  • Stay informed on emerging website and digital trends and technologies, sharing key updates with the team and implementing relevant advancements.

Essential Skills:

  • 2 years’ experience in web design and website development.
  • Proficient in WordPress, with the ability to manage and customise themes effectively.
  • Skilled in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or Sketch.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and principles.
  • Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO).
  • Good written English, with good grammar and attention to detail.
  • Eager to learn, grow, and develop your specialist skills.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Possess a strong creative flair and attention to aesthetic detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and effective time-management abilities.
  • Exceptional ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload efficiently.

Desirable Skills:

  • PHP experience for maintaining internal portals.
  • Good knowledge of SEO.
  • Hosting experience, server configuration & management.
