Role: Relief Nursery Practitioner
Location: Brinds Well Day Nursery | Chelsfield, Orpington | BR6 7PH
Contract: Permanent | Zero-hours | All year round
Working pattern: Flexible, ad-hoc shifts Monday-Friday between 7:30am-6:30pm
Salary: £12.36 – £13.77 per hour

About you
You’ll be someone who brings warmth, care and professionalism to everything you do.
You Might Be Someone Who
- Is naturally nurturing and has experience caring for babies and young children aged five and under
- Ideally holds a DfE‑approved early years qualification at Level 2 or above (helpful, but not essential)
- Is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development through play and exploration
- Has an understanding of child development and, ideally, the EYFS, enabling you to follow planned activities and contribute to observations for children’s learning journeys
- Is a strong advocate for safeguarding, ensuring every child feels safe, valued and happy
- Enjoys working collaboratively and building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues

Please Note
Applicants must live within a commutable distance of the nursery and hold suitable Right to Work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available. Safer recruitment checks apply, including an Enhanced DBS check.
If your application is successful and you travel to and from Brinds Well Day Nursery using public transport, taxi fares will be paid between either Orpington or St Mary Cray train station and the nursery, for every shift you work.
