We are looking for a regulation and accreditation officer to support UKCP’s regulatory, quality assurance and accreditation functions for individual and organisational members. This role helps protect the public and uphold professional standards in psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic counselling. Working with the regulation and quality assurance manager, you will coordinate and deliver regulation, quality assurance and accreditation activity, with particular responsibility for education and accreditation pathways.
You will support audits, quality reviews and accreditation processes, ensuring that UKCP’s regulatory frameworks are applied clearly, consistently and proportionately. The role involves managing complex information, drafting accurate reports and documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of regulatory and accreditation processes. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders including colleagues, volunteers, committees and subject matter experts, while maintaining the independence required of a regulatory function. This is a senior specialist role suited to someone who enjoys structured, purpose-driven work and values fairness, consistency and sound judgement.

- Coordinate and deliver regulation, quality assurance and accreditation activity; support audits, quality reviews and accreditation processes.
- Ensure that regulatory frameworks are applied clearly, consistently and proportionately; manage complex information and draft accurate reports and documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of regulatory and accreditation processes.
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues, volunteers, committees and subject matter experts, while maintaining the independence of a regulatory function.
- Operate in a structured, professional environment in which fairness, consistency and sound judgement are valued.
- Experience from a regulatory, quality assurance, accreditation, compliance or procedural environment; confident working with standards, policies and evidence.
- Organised, detail-focused and able to manage competing priorities; able to work independently within agreed frameworks, produce clear and accurate written outputs, and know when to escalate issues.
- Value collaborative working and build constructive, respectful relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
