I am a 50‑year‑old woman living at home with my husband in Stocksfield (NE43), and I am looking for a second carer to work alongside my current Personal Assistant to cover sickness and holidays. The aim of this role is to support me to remain independent in my own home and maintain my daily routines.

Hours: 12 hours of support per week, consisting of 6 hours on Tuesday and 6 hours on Thursday. Hours will be shared between the successful applicant and my existing worker to ensure consistent and flexible support. Further discussion will be had about times of calls with the shortlisted applicants. It is expected this will be 2 calls per day.

Support Required: I require assistance with all aspects of my daily life, including support to:

  • Prepare meals
  • Shower/bathe
  • Complete transfers using a hoist
  • Administer medication
  • Access shopping and community activities
  • Carry out light household tasks in line with my care needs

Preferred Experience or Qualifications:

  • Experience providing personal care and daily living support
  • Ability to use hoists and follow moving & handling procedures
  • Confidence with safe medication administration
  • Basic knowledge of safeguarding
  • A reliable, patient, and supportive approach

A full enhanced DBS check will be required for this role, and all necessary training will be provided.
