I am looking to recruit experienced Personal Health Care Assistants to join a small team who enable me to live independently in my adapted home in Sittingbourne, Kent. I am a man in my 60s with a high spinal cord injury and need support with safe moving and handling, personal care, preparation and cooking of meals, as well as health care tasks such as stoma and catheter care, for which training will be provided.

I'm keen to employ someone that is reliable, trustworthy, conscientious, and able to use their own initiative. Working as a Personal Health Care Assistant differs from other care roles. You'll be supporting me with all aspects of daily life. If you feel that the role of a Personal Health Care Assistant is for you, I'd like to hear from you.

Hours:

  • Mondays and Thursdays: 9 hours during the day (split shift) and 9 hours overnight
  • Every 3rd weekend – Saturdays and Sundays: 9 hours during the day (split shift) and 9 hours overnight
  • Additional weekend shifts available

Hourly rate: £14.00 per hour

Due to my needs – the number of hours required may increase. There may be some flexibility if applicants can only work day shifts or night shifts, and additional hours may be available for the right applicant.

This employment is subject to Safer Recruitment practice. Two references and an Enhanced DBS Check must be received prior to the employment start date and only suitable applicants will be employed. All employees must undertake online Safeguarding Training. Only applicants who have the right to live and work in the UK need apply as sponsorship is not available due to the nature of the employment. This role is not suitable for those who have sponsorship with another employer and are looking to work the additional 20 hours allowed via sponsorship visas. This role is working for an individual employer using NHS funds and not working for the NHS.
