Background:
I live at home with my parents who are my full-time carers. I need someone to take me out in my Motability vehicle, which my electric carer-controlled wheelchair clips into. Initially, my Mum would come with us until we get used to each other. I would like to go out for walks in my battery-powered wheelchair, to go out to eat and to go to Hydrotherapy. I like being with fun, lively people.
Hourly rate: £20 per hour.
Requirements:
- Confident, fun and energetic P/A required to take me out twice a week
- Support sessions of 2-4 hours to suit activity
- Tuesdays and Thursdays preferable for support but can be flexible
- Car driver essential who would be willing to drive my Motability vehicle for me
- Needs to be able to manage a battery-powered wheelchair and preferably go into a hydrotherapy pool with me
- Able to work with visual and sensory impairment necessary
