Care assistant required for adult with MS and some dementia. P/T @ 12.21/ hour TN2 3We are looking for a part‐time care assistant to provide all hygiene and care needs for an adult with multiple sclerosis and some dementia. This role involves four 1‐hour calls on alternate Wednesdays and alternate weekends, with an average of 6 hours per week (4 hours one week and 8 the next). It is double‐handed, so you will not work alone. The position may suit a family‐care worker or anyone seeking part‐time work.
The duties include:
Hoisting and moving support
Catheter care and continence management
Showering and personal grooming
Preparing meals and supervising nutrition
Medication administration
Supporting safe handling of feeding and food hygiene
Assisting with dementia care and behaviour management
Pay is £12.21 per hour. The role includes 5.6 weeks of paid leave. Payment is made four weeks in arrears, inclusive of NI and tax, with payslips and a written contract. The position may also be funded by KCC for self‐employed candidates.
