We are looking to employ a Support Worker to support a 10 year old boy who has cerebral palsy, GDD learning disability and epilepsy, who lives in the Stanley/Consett area.
Hours/Wage: 4 hours per week during term time (ideally at the weekend) and 12 hours per week during school holidays. Current hourly rate is £13.00 per hour (rising to £13.50 per hour from 06/04/26).
Duties: The main role of the worker will be to take the child out to various activities. He is a generally happy child with some episodes of behavioural fluctuations when not given the attention he requires. He enjoys the beach, soft play and sensory activities with lights and sounds. We are looking for someone who can provide a positive and caring environment for our son, helping him to stay engaged and enjoy his activities.
Additional Requirements / Information: Driver with own car essential. Parent will arrange to pay mileage privately. The role is paid through direct payments. Enhanced DBS will be required, employer will cover the cost.
