About Me: I am a friendly and active person living independently in Bath. I am an ambulatory wheelchair user with hEDS and POTS, which affect mobility, fatigue, and energy levels. My interests include wheelchair basketball, music (singing and playing piano), Harry Potter, languages, and learning about countries and flags. I enjoy being out and about and would like to work with someone who is supportive, patient, and has a good sense of humour.

  • Supporting access to the community (e.g., attending basketball in Keynsham)
  • Occasional assistance with washing and dressing (mostly independent)
  • Providing social and communication support at appointments or events

The role involves around 10 hours per week, with the following preferred schedule:

  • Monday: 1:00pm – 2:00pm (Bath)

  • Wednesday: 3:00pm – 4:30pm (Bath)
  • Thursday: 4:00pm – 5:00pm (Bath)

  • Weekends: Up to 3 hours (flexible – may replace weekday hours)

There is some flexibility on days/times (except Fridays, which are fixed).

  • Awareness of physical disability or chronic illness
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to different communication and sensory needs
  • Basic BSL (British Sign Language) knowledge desirable but not essential
  • Female PA preferred (due to some aspects of personal care), but not essential

A DBS check is required for this role (funded). A driving licence is desirable – a car can be provided for work‑related travel.

Other Details: No pets currently, but considering getting a cat. Non‑smoker preferred, but not essential.
