We are currently seeking a compassionate individual to join our household as a Personal Assistant (PA) to assist a disabled mother. This position involves various domestic duties and providing support to ensure a comfortable and nurturing home environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, preparing light meals and hot drinks, as well as assisting with prescription collection and occasional outings for recreational activities.

Details:
- Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, laundry, etc.
- Supporting with local community, social activities, and outings.
- Help and support in and around the house.
- Cleaning, household and domestic tasks.
- Supporting with appointments and scheduling.
- Companionship to improve general wellbeing.
- Any other reasonable duties as requested.
- Collect prescriptions from the pharmacy as needed.
Person specification
Essential:- Display an affinity for pets, as we have both cats and dogs in our home.
- The ideal candidate would require a calming, reassuring, caring and patient nature.
- The person I employ must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect for my privacy.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs.
Summary terms and conditions:
- The rate of pay for this position is £14 per hour for employed PA and £16.89 for self-employed PA.
- Hours and times of work: 14.5 hours per week. Exact times discussed further at interview.
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
- Free Careskills Training provided to employed staff: Data Protection, Health and Safety, COSHH, Food Hygiene, Personal Care.
The post is subject to the following:
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
