We are seeking a caring, reliable Personal Assistant to support a 12-year-old boy with additional needs during the week. This role is focused on providing companionship and engaging him in enjoyable activities outside the home, while offering valuable respite time for his family.

The young person is a friendly and active 12-year-old who has Autism, ADHD, and an intellectual disability. He enjoys a variety of outings and activities, including:

  • Trampolining
  • Bus and train trips
  • Visiting cafés
  • Walks
  • Trips to local play parks

Responsibilities:

  • Accompany on weekly outings and activities
  • Provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment
  • Encourage participation in activities he enjoys
  • Ensure his wellbeing at all times

Hours: 6 hours per week (days/times to be agreed). Hours may not be needed some weeks in school holidays. Happy to work out an arrangement around this.

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Requirements:

  • A caring, patient, and understanding nature
  • Experience with children with additional needs is desirable but not essential
  • A DBS check is required (this can be arranged)

This role is vital in providing respite for the family and enabling them to spend quality time with their other child.
