Overview
I am a happy 6 year old boy with Autism and Global developmental delay. I would like a personal assistant to initially spend time at home with me while mum is there but eventually for you to take me out on trips once I get to know you. I use a wheelchair outside the house but can walk around at home and would like encouragement to talk a few steps outside. I am mostly non-verbal and love playing on my tablet. I’m fascinated by cause and effect, marble runs, cars, building and knocking things over. I love books and spending time with my cat. I do not like to be around other children or around loud noises I can’t control. I like routine and things to be done the same way.

Summary Terms and Conditions - The pay rate for this position is £12.50 per hour for employed PAs and £15.08 per hour for self-employed PAs. - Hours and times of work as follows: 3 hours per week, any days except Thursdays (days and times to be discussed at interview). - The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. - The post is subject to the following:
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer. - Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer. - Completion of a satisfactory probation period of six months.
