Job Purpose: I am looking to employ a PA or two PAs for job share to provide support around the house, cleaning duties, meal preparation and when out and about in the community. I suffer with seizures so occasionally will need support around this including personal care.

Location: Dersingham, PE31

Details: Support with the school run, morning routines, and household tasks. This includes preparing a light lunch for me to access later. Collecting my son from school and helping with afternoon and early evening tasks.

Examples of Daily PA Tasks:

  • Nutrition – preparing simple meals, reminders to eat and drink, safe food handling, and help with shopping lists.
  • Personal Hygiene – support with washing, bathing, continence care, and setting up the bathroom safely.
  • Toilet Needs – help with safe transfers, continence products, and keeping the bathroom clean and accessible.
  • Clothing – support with dressing, choosing sensory-friendly clothes, and laundry.
  • Home Environment – light cleaning, laundry, pet care, and keeping the home calm and safe.
  • Using the Home Safely – help with mobility aids, medication reminders, and safe movement around the home.
  • Relationships – support with parenting routines, preparing for family contact, and emotional support.
  • Work, Training or Volunteering – help with admin, online volunteering, and encouragement to take part.
  • Community Access – support with appointments, shopping, and managing sensory needs when going out.
  • Caring Responsibilities – help with school runs, morning routines, meal prep, and supporting son with school assessments.

Person specification:

Essential: Female carer due to personal care tasks – Schedule 9, P1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies. Experience with supporting someone with seizures. Knowledge of First Aid. Must like animals, cats and dogs in the home.
