P‑A required for a young person in Drighlington (Leeds) Do you want to make a difference for a young person with autism? Would you enjoy supporting them to develop their independence and social skills? Are you able to commit to 4 hours of your time each week (on an evening or weekend)? Hourly Rate £12.40 per hour (gross) with 5.6 weeks pro rata holidays per annum. Key Responsibilities Accompany our child to activities in the community (social, educational etc.) Encourage our child to engage in activities and develop his independence Suggest activities that our son would enjoy Assist with toileting and personal care Accompany the family on outings to assist with our son’s care requirements Supervise our son at all times Provide personal care support, helping with toileting and dressing needs Support our son with periods of dysregulation using a therapeutic approach; avoid authoritative tones and language Requirements Reliable and committed to ensuring the young person is happy, safe, has fun, and can try and learn new skills Experience working with children; SEND experience highly desirable Ensure the young person is safe and always supervised Common sense and good communication skills Full UK driving licence and own personal car Training: Safeguarding Adults/Children and Understanding challenging behaviour (provided) #J-18808-Ljbffr
