Job Purpose: An opportunity as a personal assistant has become available to provide social support to an 18-year-old man, who is best described as an old soul living in a young body, with building confidence so he can explore his local community and get involved with activities that he enjoys.

Location: Thurlton, NR14

  • Support with exploring the community to help build confidence, as this is the area of support that he needs and struggles with busy places.
  • Support with building social skills and social awareness.
  • Enjoys going for walks.
  • Enjoys sports activities such as paddle boarding, climbing at advanced levels, going to the gym, weightlifting.
  • Does not wish to get involved with activities that involve groups of people.
  • Likes music such as Bob Dylan and older artists.

Summary terms and conditions:

  • Rate of pay: £12.38ph.
  • Hours and times of work: Up to 9 hours during the week on either a Monday or Friday. Then either a Saturday or Sunday over the weekend. Other days would become available when he is not at college (outside term time).
  • Annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
  • Access to free training for employed workers.
  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
