We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant to support a semi‑retired lady in the NR7 area. The role is part‑time with flexible hours and can be based on an hourly rate of £17.52 per hour. You will work alongside other assistants and provide care, support, and companionship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meal preparation and cooking using Hello Fresh recipes
  • Personal care including shower, dressing, hair care, and assistance with mobility
  • Domestic care and household tasks
  • Planning and participating in social and leisure activities, including dog walks
  • Support the client to remain independent and perform day‑to‑day tasks
  • Provide cover for other personal assistants when needed
  • Assist with communication, appointments, and basic administrative tasks

Qualifications and Experience

  • Prior experience in personal care, including washing, dressing, and mobility support
  • Ability to follow food recipes and prepare meals using Hello Fresh kits
  • Comfort with caring for and walking two dogs, and no allergies to dogs or cats
  • Experience using smartphones and apps for scheduling and communication
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and independently when required

Terms and Conditions

  • Hourly rate: £17.52
  • Flexible schedule – mornings (9‑12 pm), afternoons as needed, evenings (tbc)
  • No fixed minimum hours; schedule negotiated based on availability
  • Training and certification in Manual Handling, Food Handling, and other relevant subjects (paid)
  • Annual holiday entitlement: 5.6 weeks wte, accrued with hours worked
  • Probationary period: 6 months (extendable)
  • Background checks: DBS, two referees (line manager and professional/character reference)
