Are you looking for an exciting role that is fun, diverse, and rewarding? I am a 50‑year‑old woman with health conditions that need support with daily living and personal care. As a Personal Assistant, you must be enthusiastic about communicating with and supporting me in a person‑centred manner.
We are looking for a female personal assistant to cover bank hours and provide temporary cover for sickness and holidays on a permanent flexible contract. The role shares a rota with two other assistants and typically covers part of the week, up to nine hours (three days) if a single assistant is absent. Pay rate: £17.52 per hour.
The required schedule (partial cover for each time):
- Monday: 2¼ hours (PA 1)
- Tuesday: 4½ hours (PA 2)
- Wednesday: 2¼ hours (PA 3)
- Thursday: 2¼ hours (PA 2)
- Friday: 4½ hours (PA 3)
- Saturday: 2¼ hours (PA 3)
- Sunday: 2¼ hours (PA 1)
Evening cover (around 5–5:30 pm, fortnightly):
- Friday: 1½ hours
- Saturday: 1½ hours
- Sunday: 1½ hours
- Monday: 1½ hours
The job entails:
- Preparing breakfast and a hot meal with Hello Fresh
- Assisting with personal care (shower, dressing, hair drying)
- Reminding medication and preparing lunch packages for work
- Engaging in social hours on Tuesday and Friday (crafts, appointments, coffee, etc.)
- Providing weekend evening assistance when husband is away (1½ hours at 5 pm on selected days)
Requirements:
- Must like dogs and cats (I have two cocker spaniels and two cats)
- Experience in personal care
- Experience with cooking
- Full UK driving license and own car (transportation guarantee)
- Safe medication administration
- Proficient with Brightr app (rota) and WhatsApp group communication
- Experience working as part of a team
