Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. I am looking for a reliable female (Schedule 9, P1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies) Personal Assistant.

Hours required: 8.30 am - 9.30 am Monday-Friday; 4.00pm-5.00pm Monday-Thursday.

Location: Norwich, NR3

Details:

  • Morning support 8.30-9.30am Monday-Friday;
  • Looking for a gentle, kind and sympathetic person to assist with getting into routines;
  • Prompts for morning routine, including ensuring correct medication is taken;
  • Assistance with preparing nutritious meals for myself and my family later in the day from 4pm-5pm Monday-Thursday;
  • Prompts and encouragement to eat regularly and maintain mealtime routines;
  • Additional opportunities to assist with accompanying me to appointments (doctor, dentist, hospital etc);
  • Support with household tasks.

Personal Specification:

Below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. Assessment of these, both on application and at the interview, will be the main factor in determining your success.

Essential:
  • Reliable, dependable and adaptable;
  • Time keeping and organisational skills;
  • Enhanced DBS;
  • Own car with driving licence.
Desirable:
  • Experience with dissociation and agoraphobia;
  • Knowledge and experience of preparing meals;
  • Able to work flexibly when needed to attend occasional appointments.

Summary Terms and Conditions:

The rate of pay for this position is £20.00 per hour. Hours and times of work as follows: 8.30 am - 9.30 am Monday-Friday; 4.00pm-5.00pm Monday-Thursday. There may be opportunities for additional hours to attend appointments however the primary hours are a requirement of the post. The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. To be taken on bank holidays, 1 week over Christmas, 1 week over Easter and the remaining to be agreed in advance. Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers.

Role subject to: satisfactory enhanced DBS check, cost covered by employer; completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
