We’re looking for a caring, compassionate and committed Personal Assistant (female). It’s an amazing opportunity to join our small and friendly team for a 24-year-old lady with severe learning disability and additional health needs. We work flexibly and can accommodate shifts to suit a good work-life balance.
About Me: I am a delightful young lady who likes to go swimming, on trips, out for walks, loves music, dancing, looking at books and jigsaws. Every Saturday I go to a gym for people with additional needs and a club for young adults with additional needs called WeCan. I communicate non-verbally using gestures, facial expressions, a VOCA (Voice Output Communication Aid), and symbols. Due to my physical disabilities, I require full support with personal care, feeding and mobility. I attend college Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and an activity centre with care staff on Monday and Tuesday. I have 24/7 care with dedicated day shift staff who assist to have the best time with my different clubs and activities, and overnight care staff who ensure I have the enable me to have the best night’s sleep by providing proactive support at all times.
