An artistic, outgoing, positive, engaging and cheerful woman in her early 50’s diagnosed with ME requires support, predominantly within the home. This wife and mother enjoys creative pursuits and lives in a colourful environment with one dog, two cats, two teenage children and a supportive husband. The impact of ME includes fatigue, pain and sensory overload.

The successful applicant will need to be calm and reliable, prepared to do the food shopping, batch cooking and household tasks to ensure the smooth running of the home continues. There may be occasions whereby you are required to accompany this lady outside of the home and be a support if using her wheelchair, on a more difficult day. An overriding quality for the worker should be not to assume what the needs of this lady are as she is the expert on herself and able to articulate her wishes.
