Job Description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me in my day-to-day life. I am a lady with a learning disability, autism and mental health needs. I am seeking someone who can provide calm, reliable and structured support to help me feel safe and confident. Routine and familiarity are very important to me, and I benefit from patient and consistent support.
I enjoy home baking, going to the cinema, shopping trips into Norwich and spending time at cat cafés (although I don’t have pets at home). I really enjoy visiting the Warhammer shop where I paint the figures and add them to my collection.
As my Personal Assistant, you will support me with:
- Accessing the community and social activities
- Staying safe and making sense of situations when out and about
- Using public transport
- Domestic and social care tasks
- Building and maintaining independence
Personal Specification: Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post.
Essential:
- Friendly, calming, and supportive
- Reliable and patient
- Confident in managing changeable moods and occasional challenging behaviour
- Able to help de-escalate situations when needed

Summary Terms and Conditions:
The rate of pay for this position is £14.89 per hour. All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. Hours and times of work as follows: Tuesdays and Thursdays – 5 hours each day between 9am and 4pm (hours and times to be negotiated at interview). There are also some additional hours available on these days to be worked more flexibly as required. The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers. The post is subject to the following: A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure.
