We’re looking for a kind, enthusiastic, and bubbly individual to join a small, friendly team providing 24‑hour, 2:1 care for a young man with a brain injury living in his own independent bungalow in Seaton Carew, Hartlepool. All care needs are fully supported in this rewarding, person‑centered role. Experience in care (formal or informal) is an advantage but not essential.
Role Details
- Part‑time hours: minimum of 18‑24 hours per week (averaged over the month), with extra shifts for holiday and sickness cover.
- Shift patterns: Permanent nights.
- Shift timings: Day shift 7am‑5pm / Evening shift 7pm‑7am.
- Pay rate: £13.00 per hour with enhancements for last‑minute cover.
- Alternate weekends off or two weekends off per month depending on staffing needs.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Supporting the client with personal care needs.
- Helping maintain a tidy and comfortable home and garden.
- Planning and taking part in activities, days out, and local walks.
- Accompanying the client to appointments.
- Meal preparation, personal care, domestic care, social and leisure activities, support to remain independent.
What We’re Looking For
- Aged 18 or over.
- Friendly, reliable, and caring – essential qualities for this role.
- No formal experience required – full training (in role) will be provided.
- Fully flexible in terms of availability for shifts.
- A full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.
