PA for a 13-year-old boy to help him access social activities in Roundhay, Leeds (LS8).

£12.70 per hour (gross) at all times with 5.6 weeks pro rata holidays.

This role is for 4 hours per week plus 2 hours in school holidays. Hours can be arranged in advance with parents to provide greater flexibility. Initially, the PA will build a relationship in the home and then start to access the community with him. He likes trips to the park and trampolining.

How he communicates: He uses some words and short sentences to communicate his wants and needs. He is good at using visuals like his choice board and aided language displays – make sure he gains an adult’s attention prior to initiating communication. He is gestalt processing so sometimes his phrases don’t match what he means; he learns through modeling. He will need supervision all the time, as we do not have any awareness of danger.

  • Swimming

Things he does not like:

  • Loud noises
  • Other children upset
