About the Role
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistants to support a young lady living in the Haltwhistle area who has a diagnosis of Global Development Delay. This is a rewarding opportunity to help someone maintain independence, pursue their interests, and live a full and active life within the community.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Personal care and domestic support
- Meal preparation
- Support to remain independent
- Social and leisure activities (gym, swimming, cinema, meals out)
- Community access and participation
- Medication support
- Moving & handling
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring safety, as this individual always requires supervision.
About the Individual
- Lives independently with family and a support team
- Attends a day service 4 days per week (9am–3:30pm)
- Enjoys cooking, art, music and trying new activities
- Loves being social and out in the community
What We’re Looking For
- Patient, caring, and reliable
- Confident supporting individuals with disabilities
- Happy to undertake repetitive tasks
- Experienced in 1:1 support (preferred)
- Committed to a long-term role
- Proactive and safety-conscious always
Working Pattern
You will work as part of a rota alongside a team of PAs.
Weekday Shifts (Tues–Fri)
- 3:30pm – 10:00pm
- 10:00pm – 7:00am (Sleep-in)
- 7:00am – 9:00am
Weekend Shifts (Sat–Mon)
- 7:00am – 10:00pm
- 10:00pm – 7:00am (Sleep-in)
Includes evenings, mornings, and sleep-ins
