To provide support to a friendly 20‑year‑old man living at home with parents who would like to gain confidence when carrying out daily tasks.

Location: Gorleston, Norfolk

Details:

  • I would like to become confident in the kitchen, planning and preparing meals for me and my family, learn basic recipes, washing up and cleaning the kitchen afterwards.
  • I want to learn how to use knives and kitchen utensils safely.
  • I would like someone to go out in the community with me perhaps to visit the local library, using public transport also.
  • I want to be able to understand money matters as well, so having somebody to teach me basic financial skills would be great.
  • I can wash and dress myself so personal care is not a requirement.
  • May include other duties, to be discussed.

Hours: 1 hour 30 minutes per week between 10am – 1pm on a Wednesday or Friday

Summary terms and conditions:

The rate of pay for this position is £12.89 per hour. You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role. The post is subject to the following:

  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
