Hours and role
A Family Support Assistant is required for an average of 8 hours per week.
The hours are: Wednesday: 2-5pm. Weekends: 5 hours on average per weekend (sometimes Saturday, sometimes Sunday; some weekends we will fix the day, sometimes there will be flexibility for you to decide which day).
(Some flexibility would be an advantage, for appointments etc.)
The weekday hours will include: healthy food prep/cooking, domestic chores, taking me to appointments, short outings (pushing lightweight manual wheelchair), shopping, occasionally supporting me with childcare.
The weekend support will be varied depending on our needs at the time. It will include the above tasks and support with outings including with our energetic 6 year old and childcare support at home to allow my husband respite.
No care experience necessary but the successful applicant must be calm, patient and organised, have lots of initiative, plenty of energy and be fantastic with children.
A car owner is a must so I can get out and about as needed.
A DBS including children (this is arranged through us) and references will be required for this job.
Please note that we have a small friendly dog.
