We are seeking a professional, reliable and compassionate support worker/carer to provide 1:1 support for a female young adult in County Durham. The successful applicant will support daily living while promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing. This role involves personal care alongside health and social care support delivered in a person centred manner. The young adult currently lives in a self-contained annex within a busy family home and has 3 younger siblings. She attends a work placement 3 mornings a week and enjoys outings such as shopping, beauty treatments, attending guides and volunteering with park run.
Responsibilities would include:
- Accompanying to medical appointments and community activities
- Encouraging independence, confidence and social engagement
- Maintaining a calm, consistent and supportive approach
