We are looking for a Personal Assistant / Carer to join our friendly team of three carers. You will provide high quality one to one support to a young man in his family home. Your role will focus on comfort, wellbeing and supporting an active and happy daily life. We can offer up to 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Providing high quality one to one support to a young man in his family home.
  • Focusing on comfort, wellbeing and supporting an active and happy daily life.
  • Supporting daily routines including personal care, dressing and meal preparation.
  • Encouraging social interaction and community outings.
  • Administering medication as required.
  • Completing minimal paperwork.
  • Working closely with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent and person centred care.
  • Medical safety aspects: Safe administration of medication, continence care, epilepsy awareness.

What we are looking for

  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Previous experience in home care or a similar caring role.
  • The ability to follow care plans while adapting to changing needs.
  • A driving licence is helpful but not essential.

  • A competitive hourly rate (Hourly rate is due an increase in April).
  • A structured three week rolling rota including 1 full weekend on then 2 weekends off.
  • Six hour shifts with a mix of 8am to 2pm and 2pm to 8pm.
