PA’s needed to care for an older gentleman with Motor Neuron Disease. Flexible working available: mornings, afternoons and evenings. Weekend on weekend off. Pension included and paid annual leave. Night shifts not required but may need night support if a hospital admission is required at any time.
Care needs include personal care, toileting, washing, showering, cough assist, suction as and when required, nebuliser, catheter care, PEG feeding and administration of all medications. Experience of complex care preferred but not essential. The gentleman lives in the family home with his wife and daughter. It is a very loving and caring environment and we are looking for someone with high standards who will enjoy working with the family.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care including toileting, washing, showering.
- Assist with cough assist and suction as required.
- Administer nebuliser, catheter care, and PEG feeding.
- Administer all medications safely.
- Support during overnight episodes if a hospital admission occurs.
- Maintain a caring and respectful environment for the gentleman and his family.
- Experience of complex care preferred but not essential.
- Must work well in a family setting with high standards of care.
- Flexible working – mornings, afternoons and evenings.
- Weekend on weekend off.
- Not required to work night shifts except for potential hospital admission support.
- Own personal car for transportation is required.
- Paid annual leave and pension included.
