A Personal Assistant is required to provide practical support funded through Direct Payments. The role is to help the employer maintain their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life at home.

Duties Will Include

  • Meal Preparation & Nutrition Support
    • Preparing simple, nutritious meals to support a balanced diet
    • Supporting the employer to maintain regular meals
    • Following food hygiene and safety practices
  • Shopping Support
    • Supporting with food shopping due to physical health limitations
    • Assisting with planning and purchasing essential groceries
  • Domestic & Laundry Support
    • Supporting the employer to maintain a safe, clean, and habitable home
    • Carrying out light domestic tasks in key living areas
    • Supporting with laundry, including washing, drying, and putting away clothes

Personal Qualities

  • Reliable, patient, and respectful
  • Able to work independently in a private home
  • Good sense of hygiene and awareness of safety
  • Previous experience helpful but not essential

Additional Information

  • Training will be provided where necessary
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required. The cost of this check will be covered by the employer.
  • This is a Direct Payments role and employment will be directly with the employer
