OUTLINE OF ROLE:We are looking for two PA’s, both full/part time hours available, to join our team caring for a gentleman living with MS in L17. This role requires previous experience working within a care setting. Knowledge of MS is preferred but not necessary as ongoing training will be provided.A basic overview of duties required to perform are assisting with day to day activities, and maximising gentleman’s ability to maintain his independence. Candidates ability to demonstrate a proactive and caring attitude towards the role is essential.Despite the gentleman\’s health condition, he has a great sense of humour, is intelligent and very engaging. He would like someone with a good sense of humour, strong work ethic and a positive outlook on life. Someone who also understands that his health fluctuates, therefore an ability to adapt to situations is important.Ideal candidates must display a willingness to undertake ongoing training in all aspects of personal care, moving and handling skills and general safeguarding awareness.A reasonable level of flexibility with working hours would be preferable, as occasionally shift cover will be required.Car driver with own transport preferred, however not necessary if living locally.A full induction will be provided. Competitive rates of pay dependent on experience.Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.Due to the nature of the role, strict confidentiality is required.
