We are looking for an easy going and reliable carer / PA to look after our daughter, and help us to access the community two or three days a week after school. Our daughter is very sociable. She loves to play and go to the park but needs help to do so with her disabilities. Hours are 4pm – 7pm 2 or 3 afternoons a week during term time. We are flexible on which days between Mon - Thurs. We would also like someone who can take on additional hours during the school holidays. Full training will be provided and is paid.
You must be available to greet our daughter from the school bus from 4pm at our home in Meanwood (LS6). One of us is generally around as we can work at home. We also have a dog.
We are ideally looking for someone with experience working with children with additional needs, for example requiring assistance with mobility, communication, tube feeding (Jej). Carer must be able – or willing to be trained – to take care of our daughter’s daily cares – specifically changing gastric waste bag, hoisting and changing pads.
